NEW DELHI, Dec 22: In a significant push towards future-ready education, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has constituted a dedicated team to develop syllabi and textbooks on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Classes 11 and 12, the Ministry of Education informed Parliament on Monday.

Replying to a question in the Lok Sabha, the Ministry said the initiative is part of the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023. The move aims to equip senior secondary students with advanced AI and computational thinking skills needed for a rapidly evolving digital economy.
