Imphal, October 22: Assam Rifles seized narcotics worth nearly Rs 39 lakhs during an operation in Mizoram’s Zokhawthar district and apprehended one alleged drug peddler, the para military force said on Wednesday.

52 grams of Heroin No. 4 valued at approximately Rs 39 lakh near Iron Bridge, Zokhawthar, Mizoram on October 20, it said.

One individual was also apprehended during the operation, it said.

The apprehended individual and the seized narcotics have been handed over to Police Station Zokhawthar for further investigation and legal processing, it said.
