SENAPATI, Feb 17: In a groundbreaking development for the education sector in Northeast India, the region’s first-ever satellite classroom was inaugurated in Senapati, Manipur on February 17. The inauguration took place at Mt. Zion College in Kathikho Karong, Senapati, with the aim of providing remote learning opportunities to students in the region’s underserved and remote areas.
The initiative, supported by the All India Private Schools Association (AIPSA), New Delhi, aims to enhance accessibility and flexibility for students, enabling them to participate in live or pre-recorded video sessions. The satellite classroom, which offers an interactive learning experience through features like live chats, polls, and Q&A sessions, was officially inaugurated by Advocate Shiju Augustine, Managing Director of AIPSA.
The satellite classroom is expected to help bridge the geographical divide by providing students with the ability to access quality education from any location. Students can participate in real-time classes or catch up with recorded sessions, giving them the freedom to manage their schedules effectively. This flexibility is set to significantly improve learning outcomes, allowing students to benefit from a more enriched educational experience.
The launch also marked a key partnership between Mt. Zion College and AIPSA, New Delhi. The event was attended by numerous school principals from Senapati district. During the event, an interactive session was held to demonstrate the functionality of the satellite classroom, offering attendees a firsthand look at how the innovative technology will be used to deliver education to students.
