Senapati, September 8: The Naga People’s Organisation (NPO), along with the Senapati District Women’s Association (SDWA) and the Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA), has issued a directive to all shopkeepers in Senapati district, prohibiting any increase in prices or hoarding of essential commodities in light of the ongoing UNC trade embargo.
The directive, which comes into immediate effect, mandates that there shall be no price hike or stockpiling of goods, except for superfine rice, which is to be sold strictly as per the rates fixed by the Town Committee (KSTC). The order will remain in force until further notice.
The organisations have warned that any violation of the directive will lead to the cancellation of trade licences without consideration.
