“We hope that we will be able to convert these challenges into opportunities and grow as a party,” Sangma added. He stressed that the NPP, being a democratic and secular party, respects diverse viewpoints and remains committed to serving all communities in Manipur and the Northeast.

Sangma further said, “We will engage with everybody and look at the larger interest of the state of Manipur and the North East region as a whole.”

While congratulating Dr Pfoze, a former MP, Sangma praised his experience, calm demeanour and dedication to regional development. He expressed confidence that Dr Pfoze would play a pivotal role in strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.

“Dr Lorho’s experience as a parliamentarian and his dedication to the people make him the ideal person to lead the party in Manipur,” Sangma said, assuring full support from the NPP national leadership.

The NPP chief reiterated that the party’s objective is to spread a message of unity and serve the people during this crucial phase for Manipur, as the state continues to navigate complex socio-political challenges.
