SENAPATI, Nov 22: The Manipur unit of the National People’s Party (NPP) has instructed its members not to attend any meetings called by the Biren Singh government.
An advisory issued on Thursday, signed by NPP state president N Kayisii, emphasized that the party’s national president had officially withdrawn support from the Singh government on November 17. As a result, all NPP members are required to comply with this decision.
The advisory further stated that members must seek prior permission from either the state or national president before making any official statements or engaging with the media on this matter.
This directive follows a controversy involving three NPP MLAs who attended an NDA meeting convened by Chief Minister Biren Singh at the CM secretariat on November 18.
