Dimapur, August 2: The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) has dismissed rumours circulating on social media about the deteriorating health of its General Secretary, Thuingaleng Muivah, calling the reports “unfounded”.

In a press release issued by the Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), the NSCN clarified that Muivah experienced a mild episode of cold and dehydration on Friday and was admitted to the Referral Hospital as a precautionary measure.

“This is unfortunate as such unfounded news were posted without fact checking,” the press release read.

“He is doing well and will be released soon, and there is no cause for concern about his health,” the statement reassured.
