SENAPATI, March 26: The National Socialist Council of Nagalim-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) has leveled serious allegations against India’s Border Security Force (BSF), accusing the paramilitary force of aiding Kuki militants in Manipur.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP) of NSCN/GPRN, BSF personnel were allegedly found “transporting unidentified illegal immigrants from Churachandpur district and dropping them at Litan village areas” in Ukhrul district. The group further asserted that these immigrants were being settled near Kuki villages in the region.

The NSCN-IM also claimed that the BSF has been “guarding the Kuki militants’ camp at Molhang Kuki village since quite long,” suggesting a “cooperative relationship” between the BSF and the Kuki militants. The organization stated that such an arrangement represents “a direct challenge and insult to the NSCN that is in ceasefire with the Government of India since 1997 to pave the way for political dialogue for a peaceful solution to the Indo-Naga political conflict.”

The statement further recalled past incidents, asserting that the NSCN had previously accused the Manipur Police of engaging in an “unethical nexus with the Kuki militants.” The group alleged that the state police had been “found providing materials to the Kuki militants stationed at Molhang Kuki village in Ukhrul.”

Additionally, the NSCN-IM accused the Assam Rifles (AR) of “working in collusion with Kuki militants,” citing instances where “AR vehicles were used for transporting Kuki militants in Kamjong district and other places.”

According to the NSCN, such alleged logistical and material support from India’s paramilitary forces to Kuki militants is not a recent phenomenon. The statement claimed that “it was there since the early 1990s when the Meitei-dominated Manipur government nurtured the Kuki militant groups to take on the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN).”

The NSCN-IM reaffirmed its stance against external interference in Naga territories and declared that it “will not allow Naga areas to be used as a dumping ground for any illegal immigrants transported by India’s paramilitary forces from across the border or from any other non-Naga areas.”
