Kohima, October 9: The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) has issued a clarification regarding a viral fictitious budget circulating on social media platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp, allegedly detailing expenditure for the upcoming Ato Kilonser’s home visit scheduled on October 22, 2025.
In an official statement released on October 7, the NSCN-IM described the circulating document as “utterly absurd,” asserting that neither the organization nor any concerned committee had ever produced or disclosed such a budget publicly. “The circulated budget is fictitious and appears to be a deliberate tactic employed by adversaries with malicious intentions,” the statement read.
The Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP) of the NSCN/GPRN categorically denied preparing any such budget and urged the public not to be misled by misinformation spread through social media channels.
In a separate clarification issued on Tuesday, the NSCN/GPRN also reaffirmed that the Eastern Flank and Hebron Camp remain united and intact, countering rumors suggesting otherwise. It stated that “undesirable elements are resorting to this kind of miserable game for vested interests,” emphasizing that the organization continues to function as a solid and cohesive body.
The NSCN-IM called upon the public to exercise caution and verify information before circulating unverified content online.
