PNOA, PNTM Organized One Day Career Counseling Programme at Hills Academy of Science

SENAPATI, March 14: Over 150 students from the Poumai Naga community participated in one day career counseling programme at Hills Academy of Science, organized by the Poumai Naga Officers’ Association (PNOA) and Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me (PNTM) on Friday, March 14. The event, themed “Navigating Your Future: Making Informed Career Choices,” aimed to guide students toward diverse career opportunities and equip them with essential skills for success.

The event commenced with an inspiring address by PNOA President Mr. Duna Duo, setting the tone for a day filled with dynamic workshops, panel discussions, and personal career insights from distinguished professionals across various fields, including civil services, medicine, engineering, banking, defense, veterinary and animal husbandry, agriculture, and forestry.

A panel of experts, including Sheveine, MCS (SDO/BDO, Mao-Maram Tadubi), Dr. Johnny Varay (Medicine Specialist, District Hospital Senapati), Er. D. Khuvei (Manager, MSPDCL), and Lavei James (District Agriculture Officer, Senapati), shared their career journeys and challenges, inspiring students to explore different career paths. Other notable panelists included LS Raipao Livingson (Branch Manager, SBI Senapati), Raishe PA (Major, Indian Army), Longni John Tao (Chartered Accountant), Dr. Th Pouziivei (Senior Medical Officer, MS Orthopaedics, DH-SPT), Dr. Chang L (Veterinary Officer, Senapati), R. S. Siipuni Pou (Sub-Regional Employment Officer), and Benjamin Zipao (Range Forest Officer, Liyai Khunou Range).

Beyond discussions, interactive workshops on resume building and interview preparation provided students with hands-on training in crucial career development skills. Addressing the audience, PNOA Secretary D. John Sha, MFS, emphasized the commitment to nurturing the potential of the community’s youth. The event concluded with a buzz of motivation and hope.
