SENAPATI, May 26: In a major green initiative, the Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me (PNTM), in collaboration with the Senapati Forest Division, Government of Manipur, is set to organize a Mass Tree Plantation and Cleanliness Drive on May 30, 2025. The drive, themed “Together for a Cleaner, Greener Poumai Land”, is part of the ongoing environmental awareness campaign under the banner #Plan4Mother.
To ensure smooth preparations, the PNTM has announced that saplings for the event will be ready for collection on Wednesday and Thursday at the PNTM Head Office in Khabung Karong. All federating units are encouraged to collect the saplings for their respective villages on the designated days.
“The success of this mission depends on the active participation of all our federating units. Your cooperation is deeply appreciated as we work together to nurture a healthier environment for generations to come,” stated a representative of PNTM.
The initiative is expected to see wide community involvement across Poumai areas, promoting both afforestation and cleanliness. By planting trees and conducting clean-up drives, the campaign aims to strengthen environmental consciousness and community spirit.
With the combined effort of local residents, PNTM, and government agencies, the event is poised to mark a significant step forward in sustainable development and ecological restoration in the region.
