MARAM, Feb 22: Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me–Maram (PNTM–M), successfully celebrated its Silver Jubilee on February 21 at Naamai Zho, marking 25 years of committed service, leadership, and student unity. The celebration was held under the theme: “Built on Dreams, Strengthened by Time.”
The occasion was graced by Shri Eno. J. Kumo Sha, Hon’ble MLA, 47–Karong (ST) A/C, Government of Manipur, as Chief Guest. The programme was further honoured by the presence of Eli. M. Sheveine, MCS, SDO/BDO Paomata, Government of Manipur, and Eno. Panii Ngaonii, Sub-Deputy Collector, Senapati District, Manipur, as Guests of Honour.
The function was presided over by Eno. J. Dalounii Angam, President, PNTM, with Eno. Joram Rivio Woba, Manager, JK Construction, attending as Chief Patron. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, elders, leaders, and well-wishers.
As a student body committed to fostering unity and academic growth, PNTM–M extended invitations to various tribal student bodies in and around Maram. Representatives from different tribes attended the celebration, reflecting a spirit of solidarity, mutual respect, and inter-tribal harmony among the student community. Their presence significantly enriched the occasion and strengthened bonds of cooperation among student organisations.
The programme began with an invocation, followed by the Presidential Address and the presentation of the Secretary’s Report, which highlighted the organisation’s journey since its inception in 2001. Over the past 25 years, PNTM–M has played an active role in promoting education, leadership development, social responsibility, and cultural preservation among students.
A special highlight of the event was the presentation of the official Silver Jubilee Theme Song, symbolising the aspirations and resilience of the student community. Cultural performances and special numbers added vibrancy to the celebration, showcasing the rich traditions and talents of the youth.
Short speeches delivered during the programme encouraged students to uphold unity, discipline, and dedication in their academic and social pursuits. The gathering served not only as a commemoration of past achievements but also as a renewed commitment toward collective progress and stronger collaboration among student bodies.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, followed by a closing song and benediction.
The Silver Jubilee celebration stands as a proud milestone in the history of PNTM–M — celebrating 25 years of student leadership built on dreams and strengthened by time, while looking forward to a future of greater unity and shared growth among all communities in Maram.
