Kohima, October 3: The Jury Board of the 25th Anniversary Edition of the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2025 has barred Sadar Hills Football Academy, Manipur, from participating in the tournament for three consecutive editions after the team failed to appear for its scheduled match.
According to the official communique, the Sadar Hills Football Academy expressed its inability to play against Michazou Football Club, Kohima, in the fixture scheduled for October 3 at 12:00 noon at IG Stadium, Kohima.
Acting on the matter, the Jury Board invoked By-Law Rule No. 24, which mandates all participating teams to complete their match engagements and formalities as per the fixture drawn by the Organising Committee. The rule further states that failure to comply would result in a “walkover” being awarded against the defaulting team, along with disciplinary action.
As per the decision, the team’s management officials and 20 registered players of Sadar Hills Football Academy are banned from taking part in the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy for the next three editions, effective immediately.
The decision was signed by Medo Yhokha, Convenor of the Steering Committee, and Diezevisie Nakhro, President of the Angami Students’ Union.
