TENGNOUPAL, Feb 20: In an extensive operation aimed at ensuring security in the region, Indian security forces have recovered a significant cache of arms and tactical equipment from the Tengnoupal district in Manipur. The operation, which included raids in vulnerable areas of the hill and valley districts, was conducted as part of a search and area domination mission.
During the raid in the SL Zougam area, under Machi Police Station jurisdiction, security personnel uncovered an array of weapons and tactical gear. Among the seized items were three improvised mortars, two musket rifles, a broken magazine, a spotter scope, two binoculars, a monocular sight, a helmet, five bulletproof vests (without plates), and two rifle slings.

In a separate operation at Maojang village, under the Moreh Police Station, further recoveries were made. Security forces seized an AK-56 rifle, two 9mm pistols with magazines, a 40mm Lathode gun, two Chinese hand grenades, two other grenades, five mobile handsets along with three chargers, four headphones, two slings, and a Kenbo bike.
