SENAPATI, June 27: In a continued effort to support remote communities and promote sustainable living, the Assam Rifles on Friday distributed five solar lights and a blood pressure (BP) monitoring machine, to the residents of Oinam village in Senapati District.
The initiative aims to improve the quality of life in areas facing frequent power shortages and limited access to essential medical equipment.
“The distribution was carried out as part of Assam Rifles’ ongoing commitment to nation-building and civic action, further strengthening the bond between the security forces and the local populace,” the press release read.
Villagers of Oinam expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for this meaningful initiative and appreciated their continued efforts in supporting community welfare.
The Assam Rifles reiterated its commitment to facilitating development and welfare initiatives in remote regions of the North-East.
