SENAPATI, Feb 20: The Senapati District Administration on Thursday conducted an inspection of the Senapati River, led by Shri Rang David, ADM Senapati, and Shri Adahrii Maheo, CEO of the Autonomous District Council Senapati. The inspection was supported by the Police Department, Senapati District Students Association, and the Karong Senapati Town Committee, as part of the “Clean Senapati River Campaign.”
During the inspection, various locations where pollutants were being directly disposed of into the river were identified. The authorities issued strict warnings to those involved, urging them to stop such activities immediately.
The residents living along the river were also sensitized about the negative impact of polluting the river and the importance of preserving this crucial water source for the District headquarter.
As part of the ongoing initiative, the District Administration plans to organize awareness programs with local leaders and residents, along with cleanliness drives, in the coming days. The District Administration has called for the active support and cooperation of all residents to help preserve the Senapati River and contribute to maintaining a clean environment.
