Senapati District Rolls Out IEC Campaign for Tribal Welfare from June 15

SENAPATI, June 13: In line with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs D.O No-12017/01/2025-DAJGUA-Part(1), the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Senapati District, Manipur, has announced a comprehensive Information, Education & Communication (IEC) Campaign to be held from June 15 to June 30, 2025. This initiative part of the Janjatiya Gaurav programme aims to ensure coverage of every tribal household and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) household under the PM-DAJGUA and PM JANMAN by ensuring awareness and access to their rightful entitlements under various welfare schemes.

The campaign upholds the vision of “Last Mile, First Priority”, reaffirming a collective commitment to ensure that no tribal or PVTG household is left behind.

The campaign will cover all eight sub-divisions of the Senapati district according to the following schedule:

All district-level heads and functionaries—including the Superintendent of Police, Divisional Forest Officer, Chief Medical Officer, CEO of ADC, and all District Level Officers of the respective departments shall deputize their staffs(including Anganwadi workers, ANM, ASHA, PRI members, and SHG) must attend the campaign and set up designated stalls wiht the objective of delivering services and resolving grievances on the spot. Their presence is crucial for delivering services and resolving public grievances on the spot. All concerned officials are required to submit lists of deputed staff for each campaign day to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office by Friday, June 13, 2025.

A wide range of public services will be offered during the campaign, such as:

  • Aadhar Card issuance
  • Ration Card
  • New LPG connection
  • Ayushman Bharat Card (PM-JAY)
  • Tribe and Domicile Certificates
  • Kisan Credit Card (KCC)
  • PM-KISAN schemes
  • Agri and allied tools & machineries
  • Opening of SHGs account , Jan Dhan accounts
  • Insurance coverage (PMJJBY, PMSBY)
  • Social security benefits (Old Age, Widow, Divyang Pensions)
  • Wheelchairs
  • Employment and livelihood schemes (MGNREGA, PM Vishwakarma, Mudra Loans)
  • Women and Child Welfare benefits (PMMVY, ICDS Benifits, immunization)
  • NCD checkups and a plantation drive

The designated nodal officers will be responsible for comprehensive documentation of the IEC campaign activities, including high-quality photographs of the event in their respective jurisdictions. These must be uploaded promptly to the designated portal in a timely manner.

Additionally, action taken reports/grievances redressed on the day are to be submitted to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner on the particular day or by the following day without fail.
