Senapati, Sept 29: The weeklong sports meet at Lao Radiant Hr. Sec. School concluded on a high note on Saturday after six days of intense competition and camaraderie. The event, which began on September 22, featured a series of athletic contests that brought together students, teachers, and the local community in a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship and teamwork.
The opening ceremony was marked by an impressive march-past with 8 contingents representing the school’s four houses. Mr. Plim Reikhenamai, MCS – AC to DC Senapati, served as the Chief Guest and conducted the ceremonial inspection of the contingents.
In his keynote address, he encouraged students to embrace hard work, determination, and teamwork, both in sports and in life, highlighting the role of sports in shaping character and leadership qualities.
Over the course of the week, students competed in a range of events, from track and field to team sports, showcasing remarkable talent and dedication. The spirit of friendly competition was evident as each house aimed for victory while upholding the values of fair play and sportsmanship.
The closing ceremony was a fitting finale to the exciting sports meet, bringing the school community closer and instilling a sense of pride and unity.
