SENAPATI, Dec 2: A meaningful Prayer Walk took place on Sunday, with over nearly 1000 participants walking from Senapati Ground to Maram Centre in a show of unity and faith. The event, was organized by Divine Glory Prayer Tower in Association with St John Bosco Parish and Senapati District Catholic Union (SDCU) which began at 10 am, served as a powerful spiritual journey where the community gathered to pray for several key intentions, including peace in Manipur, preparation for Advent, the upcoming Jubilee 2025, penance for sins, and deliverance and healing.
The walk was preceded by a special Eucharistic celebration at 7.30 am, presided over by Most Rev. Dominic Lumon, Archbishop Emeritus, who played an integral role in the event. Archbishop Lumon not only celebrated the Mass but also joined the Prayer Walk, walking with participants at both the starting and concluding points. His presence was seen as a blessing, symbolising God’s guidance and support for the community’s spiritual journey.

The Prayer Walk attracted participants not only from Senapati but also from neighboring villages, with nearly 1000 people from the catholic faith joining in the event. The community spirit was further strengthened by the support of local organizations, including the Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA) who provided refreshments to the walkers as they made their way from Senapati to Maram Centre.
This event was a reminder of the power of prayer and community, as people of all ages came together to pray for peace, healing, and spiritual preparation for the coming seasons of Advent and the Jubilee 2025. The Prayer Walk reflected a deep sense of hope and solidarity, as participants sought divine intervention for the healing and prosperity of Manipur.
