Senapati, October 20: The Senapati District Police commemorated the 134th Manipur Police Raising Day with pride and enthusiasm at the Senapati Women Police Station campus on Sunday, paying tribute to the rich legacy of the Manipur Police since its establishment in 1891. Over the years, the force has evolved into a modern, people-centric institution committed to service, security, and sacrifice.
In his keynote address, SP Senapati Shri SM Zaib Zakir, IPS, lauded the dedication and tireless service of all officers and personnel, motivating them to work with such passion that the achievements of the coming year would make them proud.

Additional SP Shri Thangkhochon Haokip, MPS, highlighted the inspiring history and evolution of the Manipur Police. SDPO Senapati Shri Theingam Thangal, MPS, urged officers to rise above differences and adapt to the changing dynamics of policing.
The event was further graced by Addl. SP (NH-2) Shri ML Kaisungbou, MPS, who expressed gratitude to the entire force for their selfless service to the community. Local artists added colour and vibrancy to the celebration through performances that reflected the district’s diversity and talent.

Across Senapati, police stations marked the day with various activities, including games and sports, cleanliness drives, campus decorations with lights, and community feasts (bada khana). The main event at the Senapati Women Police Station campus saw enthusiastic participation from officers and personnel.
The celebration not only honoured the 134-year journey of the Manipur Police but also reinforced the shared mission of the Senapati Police — to serve with courage, compassion, and commitment.
