SENAPATI, Oct 31: The Senapati District Police on Friday celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2025, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, with a series of events promoting national unity, integrity, and communal harmony across the district.
The day began with a “Run for Unity”, where hundreds of participants including police personnel, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), students, and civilians joined the unity run from Traffic Point Senapati to Mt. Everest College Junction, as well as parallel events across Maram, Mao, Tadubi, Purul, Tungjoy, and Phaibung. The run echoed the message of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”

At all police stations and units, officers and personnel took the Rashtriya Ekta Pledge to uphold the values of national integrity, security, and solidarity.
As part of the observance, “Ekta Dialogues” were organized at DHQ, Senapati PS, Maram PS, Mao PS, and Phaibung PS, where police officers, CAPF representatives, and local community leaders discussed ways to strengthen inter-community relations and promote peace in the region.
In line with the theme of service, cleanliness drives and tree plantation programs were also carried out under the initiative “Ekta Seva.” Over 50 trees were planted across Reserve Lines, Purul PS, and Phaibung PS, accompanied by campus and roadside clean-up activities.

Adding a creative touch to the celebration, the Women Police Station Senapati hosted a drawing competition titled “Unity Through Art,” which saw enthusiastic participation from students. The best entries depicting India’s unity in diversity were awarded prizes.
