IMPHAL, March 28: Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla attended the National Integration Tour – 2025 experience-sharing programme at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Imphal, on Friday. The event offered a platform for students from various districts of Manipur to share their experiences from a tour across different cities in India, highlighting the diverse cultures, cuisines, and monuments they encountered during the journey.
During his speech, Governor Bhalla emphasized the importance of such tours in broadening students’ understanding of India’s cultural diversity. He remarked that firsthand experiences of various cultures and communities help instill a sense of unity and respect for the nation’s vast and varied landscape. Bhalla further stated that such initiatives contribute to nation-building by promoting mutual respect, breaking stereotypes, and fostering inclusivity among young people.
The governor also underscored the significance of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme, aimed at strengthening national unity by facilitating interaction between people from different states and Union Territories. He suggested expanding these programmes to create a two-way exchange, where students from across India visit Manipur and other northeastern states, thereby fostering deeper national integration and mutual understanding.
The programme concluded with an interactive session between Governor Bhalla and the students, allowing them to reflect on their experiences and share the insights gained during the tour. The event highlighted the positive impact of such initiatives in enhancing unity and bridging gaps across India’s diverse communities.
