Three Arambai Tenggol Members Arrested in Connection with Missing Person Case in Imphal West

IMPHAL, June 16: In a significant development in the investigation into the disappearance of 29-year-old Chesam Abdul Kadar, Manipur Police have arrested three members of Arambai Tenggol (AT) and remanded them to seven days of police custody. The arrests were made from Thiyam Leisangkhong, Wangoi, in Imphal West District.

Chesam Abdul Kadar, also known as Achouba, a resident of Paobitek Mayai Leikai, was reported missing on June 11. His sudden disappearance raised serious concerns among local residents and authorities, prompting the police to launch an intensive investigation.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Huidrom Somokanta Singh of Yumnam Huidrom Khunyai, Huidrom Dipak Singh of Yumnam Huidrom Makha Leikai, and Thingujam Ranjit Singh of Yumnam Huidrom Khunyai Leikai — all from Imphal West District. They were formally charged in connection with Kadar’s disappearance and produced before a magistrate, who remanded them to police custody for seven days.
