Imphal, September 30: Security forces at Imphal Airport arrested two passengers on Monday, September 29, after recovering over 21 kilograms of cannabis hidden in their luggage during security screening.

Officials confirmed that a total of 21.420 kg of cannabis was seized. The accused have been identified as Laishram Vikash Singh (20), a resident of Nagamapal Lamabam Leikai, Imphal West, and Ngangbam Nelson Meitei (19) from Takyel Kolom Leikai Takyel Mapal, also in Imphal West district.

Both individuals were immediately taken into custody and handed over to the concerned authorities for further legal action.
