Vishaka Kanwar Crowned Miss Grand India 2025; Mizoram’s Vanlalnuntluangi Shines as 1st Runner-Up

JAIPUR, July 14: Vishaka Kanwar of Rajasthan was crowned Miss Grand India 2025 in a glittering national finale held in Jaipur on Sunday. The prestigious beauty pageant, serving as the national selection for the global Miss Grand International contest, was graced by a star-studded jury and enthralling performances.

Emerging as a standout contestant, Vanlalnuntluangi from Mizoram secured the 1st Runner-Up title, earning accolades for her grace, intellect, and powerful stage presence. In addition to the runner-up title, she also won the Best Swimsuit and Miss Social Media Queen awards, making her one of the most celebrated participants of the evening.

Joining them on the winners’ podium, Tsurila Jankhuingru from Nagaland was named 2nd Runner-Up, marking a proud moment for Northeast India with two of its representatives finishing among the top three.

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma congratulated Vanlalnuntluangi on social media, stating: “Congratulations to Vanlalnuntluangi @vee.lnt of Thuampui Veng, Aizawl, on being crowned 1st Runner-Up at Miss Grand India 2025! Your achievement on the national stage brings pride to Mizoram and inspires our youth to dream big and shine bright.”

Vishaka Kanwar will now represent India at the upcoming Miss Grand International 2025, scheduled to be held this October in Bangkok, Thailand. Meanwhile, Vanlalnuntluangi is expected to represent India at either the Miss Global or Miss Eco International pageant, according to pageant officials.
