SENAPATI, May 4: With immense pride and determination, young Indian mountaineer Bhukya Yashwanth successfully summited Mount Iso, the highest peak of Manipur, as part of his national mission ‘Har Shikhar Par Tiranga’. The campaign aims to hoist the Indian National Flag on the highest peak of every Indian state.
This achievement marks a significant milestone in the first phase of the mission, which covers the Seven Sister States of Northeast India. Yashwanth has so far completed climbs of Mount Gorichen (Arunachal Pradesh), Betalongchhip (Thaidawr) (Tripura), and now Mount Iso (Manipur).

During the Manipur expedition, Yashwanth was joined by personnel from the 16 Battalion of the Assam Rifles, including two officers, who summited Mount Iso alongside him. Their support and camaraderie added strength and meaning to the journey.
At the summit, Yashwanth hoisted the Indian National Flag, celebrating a moment of pride and national achievement.

In addition to this national mission, Yashwanth has scaled several prestigious international peaks, including Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa), Mount Elbrus (Europe), and Mount Kosciuszko (Australia). In India, he has previously summited Mount Yunam (Himachal Pradesh), Mount Kang Yatse II (Ladakh), and reached the Mount Everest Base Camp (Nepal side).
Beyond mountaineering, Yashwanth is also committed to inspiring India’s youth. From Mount Iso, he shared messages such as “Say No to Drugs – Yes to Life” and “Say No to Betting Apps – #SaynotoBettingApps,” encouraging healthy and purpose-driven living.
Speaking about his journey, Yashwanth said that every summit is a tribute to the Indian flag and spirit. He emphasized that discipline, dreams, and national pride are the true strengths of youth and urged young people to choose health and integrity over distractions.
His ‘Har Shikhar Par Tiranga’ mission will continue with upcoming climbs across the remaining northeastern states.
