SENAPATI, Oct 27: Youth Rise for Change (YR4C), a youth led movement against corruption, has issued an ultimatum to the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) demanding transparency and accountability in the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in Senapati District, Manipur.
The group alleges that PHED has failed to provide complete information despite multiple RTI applications and requests. YR4C claims that public statements made by PHED officials during a recent talk show were misleading and contradictory.
YR4C has given PHED until 9th November, 2025 to provide detailed information, including financial records, contractor details, and village-wise FTHC lists. Failure to comply may lead to public agitation and protests.
The group seeks to restore public trust and ensure transparency in JJM implementation, emphasizing the importance of accountability in government projects
