Zeliangrong Statehood Working Committee Appeals for Prayer Support Ahead of Crucial Talks with Centre

Senapati, August 25: The Zeliangrong Statehood Working Committee (ZSWC) has issued a heartfelt appeal to all the Zeliangrong Christian churches and fellowships across Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, and nationwide, requesting prayer support ahead of the upcoming crucial political talks with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, scheduled to be held on August 29, 2025, in New Delhi.

In an appeal by the ZSWC, the committee emphasized the spiritual importance of the meeting, noting that the round of talks is expected to be “very crucial and impact bearing” in the long-standing political aspirations of the Zeliangrong people.

The appeal outlines specific prayer points for churches and fellowships to consider during their intercessions:
• For the Leaders of the Ministry of Home Affairs (GOI) who will be representing in the upcoming talks, that the Spirit of God may intervene and work in favor of the Zeliangrong people.
• For the ZSWC talk team, that God may empower them with wisdom and persuasion to clearly present their case, leading to a timely and peaceful settlement.
• For the safe travel of the talk team, who are scheduled to journey from their respective locations to Delhi on August 28, 2025.
• For additional prayer points, individual churches and fellowships are encouraged to add further intercessory themes as led.

“The Working committee earnestly appeals to all Pastors, Reverence, catechists, Church Leaders and members of all faiths and religious organizations to kindly pray for the Zeliangrong Political issues now with the Govt. of India for final settlement. Your ardent prayer of faith will avail much for the success of our common goal,” the statement concluded.
