TAMENGLONG, May 19: The Zeliangrong United convened a significant consultative meeting on Monday at the Gaidimjang-1 Community Hall, drawing participation from prominent community representatives across Khoupum, Nungba, Noney, Dollang Circle, and Nungnang Circle. Leaders from several civil society organisations (CSOs) also took part in the discussions.
The gathering was held to deliberate on the ongoing political dialogue between the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) and the Government of India. Attendees shared insights, voiced opinions, and discussed the implications of the peace talks, highlighting the importance of sustained engagement in addressing longstanding political aspirations.
After an hour-long discussion, the participants unanimously passed a resolution pledging full support to the ongoing dialogue. They reaffirmed their commitment to actively uphold and facilitate the ZUF’s negotiations with the Centre.
