Hulunbuir, Sept 17:    India retained their Asian Champions Trophy title with a 1-0 win against host nation China in the final held on Tuesday. This win follows their 4-1 triumph over South Korea in the semi-finals on September 16 and marks their sixth final appearance in eight tournament editions.

India showcased their dominance throughout the competition, winning all five of their round-robin matches. In the final held at Moqi Training Base, Jugraj Singh scored the decisive goal in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

With this win, India has become the most successful team in Asian Champions Trophy history, surpassing Pakistan, who have three titles, including one shared with India. The Indian team’s consistent performance has set a new benchmark in the tournament’s history.

Captain Harmanpreet Singh played a crucial role in India’s success. The 28-year-old was a standout performer throughout the tournament and was named the Best Player of the Tournament.
