In two separate events held yesterday, the organization showcased its dedication to promoting sports and physical fitness among the youth.

In the first instance, Hengbung COB presented four volleyballs and four footballs to Mount Pisgah College on March 14, 2024. The initiative aims to keep students physically active and instill a culture of sportsmanship within the college community. The gesture was warmly received by both the college staff and students, who expressed heartfelt appreciation for Assam Rifles’ efforts in maintaining a peaceful environment in the region and their noble initiatives towards sports promotion.

Simultaneously, Assam Rifles inaugurated a state-of-the-art sports ground and distributed sports equipment to St. Paul School at Thingba Khullen village in Senapati district. The ceremony, graced by the presence of the commandant of Assam Rifles, symbolized the force’s dedication to holistic development in the region. Enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and local residents underscored the significance of sports in fostering a healthy and vibrant community.
