Bengaluru: April 7,2024 – Tresa Motors, an Indian electric vehicle startup, has secured a significant pre-order for 1,000 electric trucks from JFK Transporters, a leading logistics company. This deal represents a major milestone for the Bengaluru-based automaker as it seeks to establish a foothold in the rapidly growing electric commercial vehicle market.
The pre-order is for Tresa’s flagship Model V0.1 electric truck, which was unveiled in July 2023. Designed for logistics and transportation applications, the Model V0.1 boasts impressive performance specifications, including a 24,000Nm electric motor paired with a 300kWh battery pack. This powertrain enables a top speed of 120 kmph and supports ultra-fast charging, with the ability to replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in just 15 minutes.
“We are thrilled to receive this substantial pre-order from JFK Transporters, a respected name in the logistics industry,” said Arun Kumar, CEO of Tresa Motors. “This vote of confidence in our electric truck technology underscores the growing demand for sustainable and efficient commercial vehicles.”
While Tresa Motors did not disclose the exact range of the Model V0.1 on a single charge, the company is known for its commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle performance and range.
In addition to the Model V0.1, Tresa Motors is actively developing a range of electric trucks in the 18T-55T gross vehicle weight (GVW) segment, catering to various transportation needs across different industries.
The deal with JFK Transporters highlights the increasing adoption of electric commercial vehicles in India, driven by a push for sustainable transportation solutions and the need to reduce operational costs and emissions in the logistics sector.
Tresa Motors plans to commence deliveries of the pre-ordered electric trucks to JFK Transporters in early 2024, marking a significant stride towards its goal of electrifying India’s commercial vehicle fleet.
Tresa motor electric truck may cost $90,000 or ₹70-80lakhs in INR.
Why not everyone grab one of this in future for environmental care?
$90,00 is almost 76 lakhs and not Rs 7-8 lakhs. If that is the actual price its too expensive compared to tesla.
Oh calculator error!
i hope so too. Otherwise, the common man cannot afford it.
One day it will be affordable by common people!
Finally Indian company are making electric vehicles in large numbers. Way to go for clean environment.
