The recent Father’s Camp organized by Khumai Afii Baptist Church concluded with resounding success, attracting 110 attendees to the program held from April 10th to 12th, 2024, at Zhaphido in the picturesque Barak River Valley. The camp provided a unique platform for fathers and father figures to come together for fellowship, learning, and spiritual growth.

Distinguished resource persons from the community, including Rev. R L Simon from Pastor Mao-Poumai Baptist Church Langol, Imphal, and Rev. Dr. Joseph Kennedy from Poumai Baptist Church Senapati, enlightened the proceedings with their valuable insights and guidance.

Over the course of three days, participants engaged in a range of activities and sessions aimed at strengthening their familial bonds, deepening their faith, and honing their skills as fathers and role models. Workshops, discussions, and group activities delved into pertinent topics such as the role of fathers in the digital age, maintaining the spiritual and physical well-being of fathers, fostering healthy relationships with spouses and children, and exemplifying positive fatherhood in contemporary society.

A highlight of the Father’s Camp was the serene riverside location, offering participants moments of relaxation and recreation amidst the program’s engaging sessions. Attendees enjoyed traditional fishing by the majestic Barak river valley, complemented by a delectable menu featuring fresh river fish and other culinary delights.

As the camp drew to a close, attendees departed with renewed determination to fulfill their responsibilities as devoted and nurturing fathers.
