The Dhanamanjuri University Students’ Union has strongly denounced the government’s decision to shift the academic council meeting to the secretariat in Babupara, Imphal. During a press meet, Union President Irom Dimocha expressed the union’s firm opposition, stating that the meeting should be held at the university’s own academic block.

The union also demanded that the final examinations for the first and third semesters be conducted simultaneously. They have given the authorities until 1 pm today to revoke the notice regarding the meeting, warning that failure to do so will result in agitation. Dimocha added that the registrar and VC of the university would be held responsible for any untoward incidents.
