Various Organisations have come out strongly condemning the cowardly act of placing a bomb by unknown miscreant at RR Store, Wino Bazaar, Ukhrul on Wednesday.

According to Inspector Chuingam Ningchen, OC of Ukhrul Police Station, the owner informed the police at around 7:30pm on Wednesday. Acting swiftly, the police rushed to the spot and completely seal off the area. Bomb Disposal.squad from Imphal was called in and disposed off at a safe place at around 3:30pm today at the Old Jail Road. According to Police, it is an improvise explosive device.

The bag with suspected explosive materials was left inside the shop by an unknown miscreant. In this connection, Hunphun Ukhrul Village Authority, Hunphun Katamnao Long and Wino Tang Shimva Hunphun/Ukhrul has strongly condemned the cowardly act and appeal the concerned law enforcing agency to booked the perpetrator at the earliest and punish the culprits involved in this heinous act. The Organisations also appeal the persons/groups/organisations to refrain from such distasteful act of endangering human life. Hunphun Village Authority has urged all residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authority immediately.
