Imphal, July 19:     After a ten-day hunger strike, students of Dhanamanjuri University (DMU) in Imphal have temporarily suspended their agitation following successful negotiations with university officials. The hunger strike, organized by the Dhamanamanjuri University Students’ Union (DUSU) and commenced on July 9, sought several key demands crucial to the institution’s academic functioning.

Key demands included the appointment of a regular Vice Chancellor, registrar, and necessary administrative staff, all of which were reportedly hindering academic progress at DMU.
