New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall expected today in Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Saurashtra and Kutch, and Chhattisgarh.
The IMD also predicts light to moderate rainfall over North Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema near Karnataka, Rajasthan, southern Marathwada near Telangana, South Haryana, and parts of west and northeast Uttar Pradesh.
Furthermore, heavy rain is expected tonight in Uttarakhand, West Bihar, East Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
In Delhi, moderate rain was observed late last night, with the IMD forecasting a cloudy sky and light to moderate rain and thundershowers through September 9.
