Senapati, Sept 15: In a powerful demonstration of communal unity and environmental stewardship, the Youth Department of the Mao Baptist Churches Association (MBCA) has spearheaded a significant cleanliness drive across Mao Areas and Senapati on Saturday. This initiative, which began in 2017 and continues to this day, is carried out under the theme “Consecrate Yourself” based on Joshua 3:5, aiming to embody the principles of a clean lifestyle, a pure mind, a kind heart, and a pristine environment.
The drive, which has seen participation from 35 Mao Baptist churches and over 550 individuals, underscores a collective commitment to environmental sustainability and community health. The initiative is not merely about physical cleanliness but seeks to inspire a deeper sense of responsibility and purity within individuals. By aligning the drive with the biblical call to “consecrate yourself,” the MBCA emphasizes that true cleanliness extends beyond physical spaces to personal and spiritual realms.
In Senapati, the Mao Baptist Youth Organization played a pivotal role, mobilizing 52 dedicated members to clean a significant stretch of the national highway. Starting from the Mount Everest Auto stand and extending to the District Council, the team worked diligently to remove plastic bags, bottles, polythene, and all other forms of waste. The MBCA has also sent out a message to all citizens to avoid littering along the highway. Their efforts not only contributed to a cleaner environment but also set a compelling example of proactive civic engagement.
The initiative highlights a crucial message: the responsibility for environmental cleanliness transcends the bounds of churches and government agencies. It is a collective duty that calls upon every citizen to contribute. By taking action and leading by example, the Mao Baptist Churches Association and its supporters have set a high standard for community-driven environmental care. Their work serves as a reminder that a cleaner, healthier environment is achievable when communities come together with purpose and dedication.
Great initiatives! Kudo’s to the team and the churches.
Great exemplary work MBCA
