Pauloibe Hau, a young and dynamic entrepreneur hailing from Kanem village of Zeme Tribe, in Senapati Dist, is rewriting the narrative of farming in our community. Armed with a degree in Zoology from Don Bosco College Maram, Pauloibe embarked on a remarkable journey with the inception of Happy Hoove Farmstead in November 2022.

Starting with humble beginnings, Pauloibe began his farm with just 16 goats and 15 piglets, along with 2 cows. Through sheer dedication and hard work, his livestock has multiplied exponentially, now totaling over 150 animals comprising pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, and cows.

When asked about his source of income for farm maintenance, Pauloibe humbly shared that he sustains his farm primarily through the sale of his livestock, occasionally supplemented by assistance from his family. Despite the challenges, Pauloibe’s determination and resilience have enabled him to maintain his farm, ensuring its growth and prosperity.

Regarding his average income, Pauloibe revealed that he has successfully recovered his initial capital investment, marking a significant milestone in his entrepreneurial journey.

When questioned about his inspiration for starting a farm, Pauloibe’s response reflects his unwavering commitment to challenging societal norms and uplifting the agricultural sector. He expressed, “No one inspired me. Since childhood, I harbored the dream of starting a farm, but circumstances didn’t permit. What truly inspired me was the desire to break the societal mindset that farming is inferior to other professions.”
