On 21 May 2024, The Assam Rifles conducted a philanthropic initiative aimed at supporting the Marao Orphanage and Destitute Upliftment Centre in Senapati district, Manipur. The initiative showcases the Assam Rifles’s commitment to community development and welfare.
Commandant Maram Battalion handed over the essential items and financial assistance to the orphanage. This gesture was aimed at enhancing the educational resources available to the children and providing necessary support to the destitute children being uplifted by the Centre.
The Marao Orphanage and Destitute Upliftment Centre which serves as a safe haven for numerous children and destitute children, expressed profound gratitude for the assistance.
