Imphal: 3 June 2024
Today, a significant step towards empowering the youth of Manipur was taken as Assam Rifles and We Care Skill Solutions joined hands in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement, signed at the Ashoka Conference Hall in the headquarters of Inspector General Assam Rifles(South), Mantripukhri, marks a promising collaboration aimed at conducting skill development programs.
IGAR (South) Major General Ravroop Singh and We Care Skill Solutions Chairman Wangkheirakpam Shriman put pen to paper, sealing their commitment to this noble cause.
The program, spanning a duration of 12 weeks, will focus on equipping participants with skills in various sectors including hospitality services, retail management/sales, beauty/wellness, and electrician/mechanical/plumbing skill sets. Upon successful completion of these skill development programs, candidates will receive certificates accredited to the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
But the collaboration doesn’t stop there. Efforts will also be made to facilitate employment opportunities for these skilled individuals by connecting them with major organizations across the country in these sectors. This initiative not only promises to enhance the employability of Manipur’s youth but also contributes to the larger goal of socio-economic development in the region.
