Senapati: 22 June 2024

The Assam Rifles has successfully conducted another large scale tree plantation drive across various locations in Senapati district, Manipur on 22 June 2024. The plantation drive was conducted at Maram, Sangkungmai, Senapati, Hengbung and T Khullen villages resulting in plantation of over two thousand saplings.

This tree plantation drive is a part of the Assam Rifles’ ongoing commitment to environmental conservation and community engagement. This initiative is expected to have a long term positive impact on the region’s biodiversity, soil health and overall ecological balance.

The Assam Rifles remains committed to its motto of “Friends of the North East,” not only in terms of security but also through its proactive role in community development and environmental conservation.
