The Handlooms and Textiles Senapati office held an interactive programme with local weavers, drawing a turnout of around 50 participants. Organized by the District Handlooms and Textile Senapati, Government of Manipur, the event aimed to foster collaboration and identify potential weavers for future merchandise products.

The programme featured insights from notable resource persons, including Mr. George Kovei, a handloom entrepreneur; Smt. Pungrinla, Project Manager; Smt. A. Loha, CDE of Purul block; and S. Adaha, CDE of Paomata block. Their expertise and guidance were instrumental in identifying and tying up with promising weavers for future projects.

This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to supporting and promoting the local handloom industry, providing opportunities for weavers to expand their reach and enhance their craft.
