Imphal:     Chief Minister N. Biren Singh launched a Skilling and Livelihood Programme in Imphal today at the City Convention Centre under the Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation.

This initiative aims to equip participants with essential skills to lead self-sustaining lives and to contribute the state’s development.

Addressing the media, the Chief Minister also emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting the residents of relief camps. “Equipped with necessary skills and technical know-how, the trainees will be able to dedicate their work towards living self-sustaining lives and further contribute towards the growth and development of the state. The Government is committed to prioritizing the inmates of relief camps under this mission and providing them with the necessary skills and opportunities to rebuild their lives,” he said.

Amid discussions on border fencing issues, CM N. Biren clarified the state government’s role, stating support for the Ministry of Home Affairs-led efforts through the Border Roads Organization. He assured prompt resolution of any construction-related challenges through coordinated efforts.
