Ze Mnui, August 5: A representative of the Tenyimi People’s Organization (TPO) and its Federating Unit paid a courtesy visit to Ze Mnui (Yangkhullen) village on August 5, 2024, in the wake of the TPO Verdict that has been widely criticized by the villagers for not consulting them.
The people of Ze Mnui village had condemned the TPO Verdict, stating that their voices and concerns were not taken into account. During the visit, the TPO representative acknowledged that the villagers shares as a stake holders and apologized for the oversight.
The meeting, which was attended by village elders and community leaders, concluded with a brief discussion on the matter. During the meeting, TPO has decided to hold a another consultative meeting in Kohima on August 10, 2024, to further discuss the concerns and find a way forward.
The visit is seen as a positive step towards addressing the grievances of the Ze Mnui villagers and finding a solution that takes into account the concerns of all stakeholders. The outcome of the next meeting is eagerly awaited by the community.

Ze Mnui Villagers are also stake-holders of the dispute area and were not consulted before the verdict, so they objected and the TPO acknowledged it and are working to find the solution which is why they withdraw their condemnation.
