A helicopter crash in Nuwakot district, Nepal, on Wednesday afternoon resulted in the deaths of all five people aboard. The Air Dynasty helicopter, piloted by Arun Malla, crashed in the Shivpuri area shortly after taking off from Kathmandu. The aircraft lost contact with ground staff just three minutes after departure.
The victims include four Chinese nationals and the pilot. The helicopter, which was en route to Syaphrubensi, lost contact at 1:57 pm after departing Kathmandu at 1:54 pm. Rescue teams reached the fiery crash site in Suryachaur, just northwest of Kathmandu, where they recovered the bodies. One body remains unidentifiable due to severe charring.
This tragic incident follows the recent Saurya Airlines crash at Tribhuvan International Airport, which killed 18 people. The crash has raised renewed concerns about air safety in Nepal.
