New Delhi:   Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, joined by AICTE Chairperson Professor Anil Sahasrabudhe and Department of Higher Education Secretary Sanjay Murthy, presented the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2024. Hindu College in New Delhi achieved the top position among colleges, overtaking Miranda House, which slipped to second place. St. Stephen’s College secured third place, reflecting a shift from the previous year’s rankings where Miranda House was first, followed by Hindu College and Presidency College Chennai.

This year’s NIRF rankings have expanded to 16 categories from 13, including new ones like state universities, skill universities, and open universities. The rankings assess institutional performance in various fields such as engineering, management, pharmacy, medical, dental, law, architecture, agriculture, and innovation.
