Senapati, Aug 13:   A vehicle traveling towards Imphal plunged into a deep gorge at Motbung Bridge on Tuesday. Despite substantial damage to the vehicle, all occupants were rescued and are reported to be without serious injuries.

The individuals in the vehicle were identified as D Lelaveine (18), Joseph Chawang (35), and Alphina (22), all from Senapati District. They were promptly taken to the nearest health facility, where it was reported that the female driver is in shock but is out of immediate danger.

Local residents played a crucial role in the rescue efforts, and gratitude was extended to the Motbung community for their swift response.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
