The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in various parts of India due to a developing weather system.
Today, areas including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are expected to experience intense rainfall. This is associated with a low-pressure system over northeastern Madhya Pradesh, which is anticipated to strengthen into a depression affecting central north Madhya Pradesh and nearby Uttar Pradesh.
For the next six days, heavy rainfall is forecasted for Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh. Similar conditions are expected in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Bihar through September 14. Additionally, Chhattisgarh is predicted to see heavy rainfall from September 14 to 16.
According to IMD, the national capital Delhi is expected to witness a generally cloudy sky with moderate rainfall for the next six days.
