Kathua, Sept 11: In Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district, two Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists were killed and one was injured during an encounter with security forces on Wednesday. The clash took place at the Kathua-Basantgarh border in the Udhampur area, following an operation based on specific intelligence. The operation involved the army’s 1 Para, 22 Garhwal Rifles, and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the local police.
Earlier in the day, a Border Security Force (BSF) soldier was injured due to unprovoked firing by Pakistani forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Akhnoor sector. The BSF reported that the firing occurred around 2:35 a.m. and was effectively countered by its troops. The injured BSF personnel is receiving medical attention, and the troops remain on high alert.
